Mathdoku: a number puzzle you solve with a little arithmetic
Mathdoku is a logic puzzle you solve with numbers and a little arithmetic. Place the numbers from 1 to the board size once in every row and every column. Cells grouped by thick lines form a cage, and each cage must match the math printed in its corner.
Luck is never required. Every board is checked as it is made, so it can always be solved without guessing. Boards are generated rather than shipped, so no two are the same.
How to play
Fill every row and column with each number exactly once, the way you would a classic number square. The cages are what make it Mathdoku: a cage marked 12x needs its cells to multiply to 12, one marked 5+ needs them to add to 5.
Tap a cell, then pick a number. Notes let you pencil in candidates while you work a cage out, and the board marks a row, column or cage the moment it is complete.
Minus and divide cages are two cells, in either order. A number may repeat inside a cage as long as it is not in the same row or column.

- From 5x5 to 9x9 Three sizes and three difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard. Each size starts at Easy, and every win opens the next difficulty.
- A hint that explains itself The hint walks through which row, column or cage decides the cell, and why. A green outline marks the cell to solve, amber marks the clue.
- Mistakes are forgiving A wrong number never goes into a cell, it only costs a heart. Prefer to play without hearts? Turn the mistake limit off in the settings.
